WHICH TREATMENT IS BEST FOR YOU?

NORWOOD SCALE

The Norwood scale is a measurement scale used to classify the extent and the stages of male pattern baldness. It is generally used by practitioners and doctors as a standard to describe hair loss and evaluate the severity of baldness in a patient and to recommend most suitable treatment for optimum results.

Stage 1 & 2: Sometimes referred to as a juvenile hairline, in this stage there is a very minor recession of the hairline or typically symmetrical areas of recession at the front temporal area, but in general hair loss remains ahead of a line several centimetres in front of the ears. In this instance, a treatment such as LED light therapy or PRP is ideal.

Stage 3 – 5: Most scalps at this stage have a deep symmetrical recession showing at the temples that are completely bare or just sparsely covered by hair. This is the point of the Norwood hair loss scale where many men begin to seriously consider a treatment to prevent a further hair loss such as LED light therapy, PRP or even a Hair Transplant.Hair Loss London

Stages 6 & 7: The only hair that remains at this stage is a strip wrapping from one side to the other on the head in a horseshoe shape. This hair may be less dense than before; however, it can be used as a donor area in case of a hair transplant.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

YOUR QUESTIONS
Does it hurt?

LED Phototherapy does not cause any discomfort. During the therapy, goggles are worn to safeguard your eyes.

Is it safe?

Yes, it is a non-invasive, year-round treatment for all skin types that has a high safety profile and requires no downtime or discomfort.

What is the LED light treatment?

LED light therapy is a treatment that evenly bathes the scalp in exact wavelengths of light to promote hair follicle rebirth and regeneration.

To unlock your natural reserves of nitric oxide, the LED red light treatment uses specific wavelengths of LED light. This promotes new hair development by increasing local blood flow, reducing inflammation, and increasing nutrients to your follicles.

What are the benefits of the treatment?
  • Stimulating hair regrowth
  • Reducing further hair loss
  • Increasing hair density
  • Improving the condition of your hair
What Are Possible Side Effects?

When the devices are used according to the instructions, red light therapy with LEDs is a non-invasive treatment that has not been linked to any harmful side effects or pain.

Because the light-energy does not actually heat up the skin, there is no risk of burning with LED light treatment. That’s why professionals prefer LED light treatment because it’s low-risk. There is no risk of scarring or discolouration because there is no heat harm. There is no downtime, so you can get back to your regular routine immediately afterwards. Hair Loss London

When should I expect to see the results?

You didn’t lose your hair overnight, and it won’t grow back overnight either. However, it might cease falling out over night, which is a good start. Allow two to three months for noticeable results.
